Batteries.

The most often used is a 2 Amp (these days 2.2, 2.3 or 2.4). Many panels are designed around the battery. Alarm batteries aren’t used exclusively for alarm systems; they are used for lots of varied applications. Essentially it’s a small car battery; 12 Volt, lead-acid. Larger ones are used in motorcycles. Smaller ones are used wherever a small power supply is needed; models, displays, school projects etc. If you’ve ever watched ‘Robot Wars', most of the robots are powered with these batteries, the weight of them being an aid to stability. A control panel with a healthy battery should last a very long time. A panel with a dead battery is binward bound.  I replace batteries more frequently than any other piece of equipment.
